The deer of Northern Ontario is a beautiful but elusive animal. In the language of the Ojibway people he is called "Atik". All people admire his beauty and resourcefulness and he is valued for his many treasures including venison, leather and antlers. His name has been given to a small beautiful lake on the Canadian Shield just a few miles from Dryden in Northern Ontario. The lake in turn has given its name to a large and promising geological formation in that area -- the Atikwa Batholith.

Now an ambitious young Canadian mining exploration company has adopted the derived name "Atikwa" to characterize its intelligent and resourceful hunt for minerals in areas that have a history of mining and highly productive, powerful, mineral-bearing systems.

Finding a mine is a very difficult task. The rewards are immense. Like Atikwa the management of our Company has the experience, intelligence and agility that is needed. We are foraging - breaking rock - drilling under old mines - hunting methodically.

Our goal is success and nothing less
Watch the Atikwa.
